Equipment Staged at Epic Universe Fireworks Launch Pad for Rumored Universal Celestial Goodnight Show

Day by day and launcher by launcher, Universal Orlando Resort is getting closer and closer to lighting up the metro-Orlando night sky at Epic Universe with the rumored Universal Celestial Goodnight Show.

Recent audio testing at Epic Universe reportedly included the name Universal Celestial Goodnight and referred to the production as a fireworks spectacular, though Universal has not made a formal announcement of the show, its full details, or a debut date.

Several large equipment groups are now staged across the concrete launch pad that sits opposite Universal Helios Grand Hotel.

Most fixtures shown are covered in black tarps and secured with orange straps. However, the shape and placement of the units suggest they could be pyrotechnic racks, launch equipment, or protective staging materials for the rumored show.

Additional covered equipment is positioned at both ends of the pad, with smaller clusters spread through the center.

In one close-up view, several upright electrical cabinets or control panels can also be seen near the covered equipment. Nearby black fencing lines the perimeter of the launch pad.

A wider aerial view shows the full scale of the launch site within the surrounding retention pond. More covered fixtures appear to be staged along the far shoreline as well.

Other supporting evidence for the future nighttime show is the fact that Universal began hiring fireworks technicians this year. Early concept art for Epic Universe also included fireworks, and we know that fireworks were tested at the park before opening.

We got our first hint of the future show’s name, “A Celestial Goodnight”, from a trademark filing from last year.
