Construction continues to progress at the new Earl of Sandwich and Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby eatery coming to Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort.

Earl of Sandwich & The Carnaby Construction Update

Since our last update, much of the exterior facade design and lighting has remained the same.

However, on this recent visit, we were able to look inside the open patio doors to see the new interior ceiling and lighting.

The ceiling is covered in dark wood planks, and there are several recessed lights as well as circular dangling light fixtures, very similar to the concept art, as shown previously.

Out on the patio itself, we could see new furniture being stored. Some of the pieces are large and round and covered in protective white wrap.

Other furniture pieces currently outside are made with dark wood and appear to be counters or tables.

Around the other side, the gray column that is in front of the building has now been covered in beige scrim, suggesting active work is occurring here. For reference, this is what that same column looked like last month:

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will be inspired by London’s Carnaby Street during the height of the ’60s cultural revolution with plush interiors, iconic British pop art, and a soundtrack of British Invasion rock bands. It will have a bar area, signature booths, and two outdoor terraces.

The menu will pay homage to classic British fare, including Chef Ramsay’s beef Wellington, fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding. To complement the cuisine, the restaurant will offer a wide-ranging list of wines and beers, as well as a selection of signature cocktails.

“All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full-on fantastic technicolour scene of people going out and having fun. We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby,” Chef Ramsay said. “Stunning interiors, incredible food and great music, whether it’s date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.”

Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby will also feature live music after dark on select evenings. The new Earl of Sandwich location will be located just below, featuring a familiar menu loved by many guests the world over.
