Walt Disney World recently filed a permit for construction in front of the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Filed by Disney’s Sourcing & Procurement team, the Notice of Commencement calls for Buena Vista Construction Company — Disney’s in-house construction team — to “Provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction.”

The address, 743 W Savannah Cir, corresponds to a section of sidewalk between the Tree of Life, Island Mercantile, and Discovery Trading Company in the Discovery Island area. In the screenshot above, it’s the spot marked “AK DISCOVERY ISLAND AREA DEVELOPMENT” near the bottom.

Buena Vista Construction Company usually handles small construction projects. The permit being filed by Sourcing & Procurement also indicates this is probably a basic project rather than re-theming.
