Universal is looking for performers to bring some of its iconic characters to life at Epic Universe.
Epic Universe Animated Costumed Character Submissions

Universal Orlando Resort is accepting submissions for part-time animated costumed character performer roles at Universal Epic Universe.
The new audition posting is seeking performers for “all animated costumed character opportunities” at the new theme park. The posting is specifically looking for candidates in several height ranges: 4’10” to 5’3”, 5’6” to 5’8”, and 5’10” to 6’ tall.
The listing does not specify which characters performers may portray.
To submit, performers must have a current profile with a headshot, resume, full-length photo, and audition video links attached, given specific prompts detailed in the post. Submissions are due by June 20.
Given the details of this casting call, it’s possible the open role(s) could cover new or existing costumed character appearances within the Super Nintendo World portal of the park.
The various other lands of Epic Universe, including Dark Universe, the Isle of Berk, and the Ministry of Magic, commonly feature non-costumed face-characters.
Super Nintendo World, conversely, features most of the park’s fully costumed animated characters, including the likes of Mario, Luigi, Toad, and more. The height ranges listed in this call also correspond to the approximate heights typically seen on these character actors already.
Again, Universal has not explicitly stated what role this casting call will fulfill, so it’s also possible that entirely new non-Nintendo characters may make an appearance.
Universal Epic Universe officially opened in 2025 as Universal Orlando Resort’s newest theme park. Various developments are underway throughout the park since its opening, including the early phases of construction work and testing on a new nighttime spectacular titled “A Celestial Goodnight”.
