After Universal Orlando Resort officially announced “Universal Celestial Goodnight,” a fireworks spectacular coming to Epic Universe in July, the show was seen being tested.
Celestial Goodnight Testing
Although no sound accompanies the video, various visual and water effects could be seen in and around the park’s hub and fountain area. The lighting sequences in the 39 second video show (what we assume to be) Super Nintendo World’s portion of the show first followed by Dark Universe.

“Set your night aglow with a glittering new fireworks finale! Premiering July 7th, experience the excitement of Universal Celestial Goodnight, a dazzling new display of fireworks, dancing fountains and unforgettable music at Universal Epic Universe,” Universal said on social media.
Early concept art for Epic Universe included fireworks, and we know that fireworks were tested at the park before opening.
Universal began hiring fireworks technicians this year and has been installing equipment along the park’s fireworks launch peninsula.
We got our first hint at the show’s name from a trademark filing from last year. Then, audio testing at Epic Universe reportedly included the name “Universal Celestial Goodnight” and referred to the production as a fireworks spectacular.
