Wilderness Lodge Experiencing Multi-Day Air Conditioning Outage During Heat Advisory, Restaurant Reservations Unavailable

Reports are circulating on social media that the resort is experiencing a multi-day air conditioning outage. The issues began yesterday, June 18, but have persisted today. Walt Disney World has also been under a heat advisory since yesterday, which makes this an even worse time for the outage.

The issue is not affecting Boulder Ridge Villas according to comments.

Cast Members reportedly told guests that the engineering team was working on it, but it hasn’t been resolved. A lot of people staying at the resort have requested to move to a different resort, be comped for their stay, or have come up with their own solutions to keep cool. Disney is apparently offering to move guests to Coronado Springs or Art of Animation if asked.

According to one social media post, executives were at the resort all day on June 18 trying to resolve the issue. However, they were not able to remedy the situation.

Although there are operating hours listed for both Whispering Canyon Cafe and Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White for today and tomorrow, there are no advanced dining reservations available.

Hopefully the issue will be resolved, and stay tuned for more coverage.
