James Cameron’s Avatar threequel was released in theaters on December 19, 2025. It earned nearly $1.5 billion at the global box office. With the film’s success, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 are “full speed ahead.”
It won Disney’s only Oscar at the 98th Academy Awards, earning the award for Best Visual Effects.
The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Kate Winslet, David Thewlis, and Michelle Yeoh.
