As demolition begins on the Poseidon’s Fury show building, crews continue to destroy the former attraction’s courtyard. During our Thursday visit to Universal Islands of Adventure, we saw what appeared to be excavators actively in use.

Poseidon’s Fury Demolition

There were at least three vehicles behind the walls, and it was very noisy during our visit. Both of the giant feet of Poseidon appear to have been torn down. One foot was gone in @bioreconstruct’s recent aerial photos, and the other is no longer visible. Their demolition follows that of the giant trident.

The temple facade remains mostly intact, although, as we noted with bioreconstruct’s photos, one of the sea creature braziers was removed.

Now that the giant statue elements have been destroyed, Universal will continue to flatten the exterior queue walls and remove rubble.

The theater for The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad was also demolished. Universal has not announced what will replace these attractions or The Lost Continent at large. But they did recently hire ride engineer Garmendale.
