Filming of the live-action Tangled is underway in Spain, and fans have captured photos of Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim in costume as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

Tangled Live-Action Filming

Disneyphile.fr shared behind-the-scenes photos of Croft and Manheim. Croft is in a redesigned version of Rapunzel’s purple-pink dress. At the time the photo was taken, hair and makeup crew members were working on her long blond wig, which is braided with flowers, as seen in the animated Tangled when Flynn and Rapunzel reach Corona.

Manheim’s costume closely resembles Flynn Rider’s animated look, including the blue vest and satchel, just with more details. Unlike his animated counterpart, he has a mustache.

Enrolados Brasil (Tangled Brazil), an X account dedicated to the live-action film, shared several photos of sets in Spain, including at Girona Cathedral. Based on Rapunzel’s braid and these set pieces, the city of Girona is acting as the live-action film’s Corona.

A redesigned sun symbol can be seen on banners and atop a flower-adorned fountain.

Inside the cathedral are blue and gold drapes, likely for the interior of Corona castle.

In addition to Croft and Manheim, the film stars Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel and Diego Luna in an unannounced role. It’s directed by Michael Gracey from a screenplay by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Michael Montemayor.
