Infrastructure and System Enhancements Permit Filed for Indiana Jones Ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney Imagineering filed a new permit for the upcoming Indiana Jones ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The Notice of Commencement is for “General Construction and Building Infrastructure and System Enhancements” at the ride’s address, contracting Balfour Beatty.

Balfour Beatty’s other recent Disney contracts have been for construction at Piston Peak National Park and the former Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser building. They’re a general contractor so “system enhancements” wouldn’t refer to ride systems.

The Indiana Jones ride is a reimagining of DINOSAUR, part of the new Tropical Americas land. DINOSAUR uses the same system and similar track to Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. But the Florida version of the Indiana Jones ride will have a brand-new story.

As per usual, the permit expires in one year.

In the spring, Disney filed three set installation permits for the Indiana Jones ride. A Maya temple facade is under construction in front of the building.
