La Poutinerie, a quick-service kiosk at EPCOT, has officially opened to celebrate Canada Day (July 1). It replaces Refreshment Port, selling poutine and beverages.

Refreshment Port closed and underwent refurbishment earlier this year to transform the space into La Poutinerie hosted by Air Canada. The kiosk was repainted and got stonework on the columns, plus a chimney on the roof. The flowerbeds now house a garden of Canadian plants.

Rising up from the garden is a sculpture of flying Loons, held up by faux tree branches.

Each potted plant represents a different province or territory, with the respective flag pictured on a small plaque along with the plant’s name.

One sign advertises “Poutine Around the Globe,” with artwork of a plane flying over World Showcase. A sign on the other side of the features travel-style posters featuring poutine and the Canada pavilion’s Hotel du Canada.

Air Canada crew members were present for the kiosk’s opening.

Guests received Air Canada wings to celebrate the opening.

A photo op was also available. Guests could take a photo with a large Air Canada boarding pass with the opening date of La Poutinerie and “CHZ FRI GVY” text, as well as “EPCOT” and “Canada” text.
