Scaffolding Removed at Wailulu Bar & Grill as Refurbishment Continues at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

Scaffolding at the Wailulu Bar & Grill has been removed, and we’re seeing slow progress at the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

When visiting Disney's Polynesian Village Resort today, July 27, we noticed that the scaffolding has been removed from Wailulu Bar & Grill. As you can see above, the front of the restaurant is gone.

Wailulu Bar at Island Tower closed in April for a roof refurbishment.

Meanwhile at the Great Ceremonial House, work is still progressing, albeit slowly, for the ongoing refurbishment.

In our April report, the exterior vertical beams were repainted; today, crews were installing metal paneling on those vertical beams, as seen above.

With all of the scaffolding in front of the building, it’s hard to tell if any other work is being done beyond what we can easily see on the roof.

Seating is currently open on the terrace nearby, confirmed by our visit this morning. However, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace at the resort is still closed.
