Disneyland guests witnessed the cast of The Mickey Mouse Club reboot filming at Disneyland on Monday, July 20. We reported last week that Disney+ had ordered the pilot.
The Mickey Mouse Club Reboot Filming
TheDisneyScoopGuy shared photos of the cast filming with Mickey Mouse on Reddit. The cast includes Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, and Brooklynn Pitts from Disney’s upcoming Camp Rock 3, as well as Erianthe Akaata (Young Rock), Scarlett London Diviney (The Lion King National Tour, Wicked), Michael Cash (Black Rabbit), Yonas Kibreab (Elio), Varonica Mitchell, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty, and Carter Barnes.
Instagram user Victoria Jacobs (@amagicaldisneyday) shared video of some filming, which took place between the Disneyland entrance gates and the Main Street, U.S.A. train station.
The reboot is produced by Fulwell Entertainment, whose past Disney-related productions include The Kardashians on Hulu, Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl, The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl Live, and Elton John Live: Farewell From Dodger Stadium. Fullwell co-founder Ben Winston executive produces the pilot with Ashley Edens, Emma Conway, and Dave Piendak.
The Mickey Mouse Club originally ran for four seasons from 1955 to 1959. It was revived from 1977 to 1979 as The New Mickey Mouse Club and then from 1989 to 1996 as The All-New Mickey Mouse Club. A fourth version, Club Mickey Mouse, aired on social media from 2017 to 2018.
The ’89 revival famously launched the careers of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and Keri Russell.
