CommuniCore Hall in EPCOT has reached a new construction milestone — this evening at the park, the flat triangular panels along the building’s exterior were lit.
Triangular Panels Lit at CommuniCore Hall
While visiting the park on the evening of March 27, we noticed that some of the flat triangle panels on the front of the building were lit up.
As you can see here, some of the panels on the right wall are lit up in what looks like, from a distance, white light.
We also spotted lighting testing inside CommuniCore Hall, with lighting strips lining the ceiling.
Lights were also on elsewhere in the building, as you can see in this photo.
Further down this same wall, some triangles were lit in very pale shades of pink, green, and blue. It’s possible that the colors become more vibrant at night, or they could simply not be testing at their full capabilities just yet.
Earlier this week, we spotted the side of the building shown here on the right with colorful brackets added. Now we can see those were in preparation for the 3D triangles that are now present, to match the rest of the building. Some of the flat triangles here were also lit up.
On the side of the building that faces CommuniCore Plaza, the triangular panels are brightly lit, with shades of blue, green, and a pale orange visible from a distance. Recently, two automatic sliding glass doors were installed here.
Based on the still visible colored brackets, it’s likely that this side still has a few 3D triangles left to install.
However, not all of the triangular light panels are operating at this time, as none of the panels were lit over by the entrance to the Mickey & Friends meet and greet. The sign for the experience was installed on March 26.
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will open on June 10, 2024. Check out our video of the triangular light panels in action below:
