Even more seating has been added to CommuniCore Hall in World Celebration, giving parkgoers more places to eat during the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
CommuniCore Hall Adds More Seating (Again)
CommuniCore Hall reopened on August 29 for the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival with the new Global Marketplace, Macatizers. With the focus on food, you would think that seating with tables would be the priority for this new space, however, CommuniCore Hall reopened with less seating than anticipated to accommodate displays of festival merchandise.
This merchandise is not exclusive to this location; it is the same merchandise found in Creations Shop and the festival kiosks throughout the World Showcase.
Since our previous update, Disney has rearranged CommuniCore Hall to accommodate additional seating. However, merchandise seems to still be a priority in this space. The items have moved to the far side of CommuniCore Hall, opposite the Macatizers Booth. Seating is hidden just behind this merchandise wall.
The check-out is located between the two exit doors looking toward the CommuniCore Plaza stage. Stanchions are in place to help guests queue in an organized fashion.
Merchandise can also be found lining the walls near the exit doors. In our last update, merchandise was moved away from the walls entirely to open up for more high-top tables. The newest arrangement separates the merchandise from the food and tables more effectively.
When we reviewed CommuniCore Hall after it opened in June, we discussed how the space was “functionality over form.” It is the perfect space for guests to enjoy festival food and drinks in an air-conditioned space, but with no tables available during the most popular festival of the year, the functionality of the space comes into question.
