Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo at Disneyland currently has two special Life Day 2024 menu items: the returning Kashyyyk Cake and the new Kublag Curry.

A cylindrical stone building with two red umbrellas at the entrance stands prominently, evoking the ambiance of Galaxy's Edge. The structure features scaffolding on top and weathered walls, fitting for a scene from Star Wars. Inside, people and lights bring life to what seems like preparations for a Batuu Harvest Festival.

Menu Items

Kashyyyk Cake – $7.99

Brownie Base, Raspberry Sauce, Tiramisu, Dark Chocolate Mousse

Returning from last year, this treat is unchanged, though is not the same as the Kashyyyk Seven Layer Cake found in the Life Day Cookbook. It gets its name from the Wookiee home planet.

This is really good. The raspberry is a little artificial but it works. The dark chocolate mousse is standard but delicious. It has a slight tartness balanced by the sweet sauce. The brownie is dense and holds the whole thing together. It’s definitely worth a try.

*NEW* Kublag Curry – $16.99

Herb Rice, Curry-Spiced Shrimp, Creamy Chicken Curry, Cilantro, Feta Crumbles

Shrimp in creamy sauce with a mound of green rice, garnished with herbs, graces the black dish—a culinary celebration perfect for Life Day 2024.

Kublag Curry originates from “The Life Day Cookbook” by Strono Tuggs and while it’s similar in appearance, the ingredients are different, so if you’ve made this at home, don’t expect this to be the same. The Cookbook version does not use shrimp or cheese and the two dishes have different spices. The dish is based off a meal eaten by Ewoks and the meat is Kublag, an antlered creature from the Forest Moon of Endor. The Kublag first appeared in “The Kroolok,” a short story from “The Life Day Treasury.”

This is spectacular. The curry is fantastic. There are three big plump shrimp and they’re perfectly cooked. It’s spicy. The rice is cooked well.

Though Life Day is technically November 17 (the day “The Star Wars Holiday Special” was released), Life Day menu items are available through January 7, 2025.
