BREAKING: First Look at Flying Dragon Drone Coming to Universal Epic Universe

WESH 2 News caught sight of another dragon at Universal Epic Universe, this time one of the flying dragon drones that will take to the skies above How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

This is Hookfang, Snotlout’s Monstrous Nightmare. WESH 2 didn’t see the dragon actively flying, but got a complete look at the drone parked on the ground. Watch their video below.

Universal confirmed last month that How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk would be populated with flying dragons, in addition to walk-around dragons and dragons peeking out of houses throughout the land.

WESH 2 previously spotted Dart the Night Light, a life-size animatronic, practicing backstage at Epic Universe. Aerial photographer Bioreconstruct recently caught sight of Toothless meeting guests during a team member preview.

The attractions of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk include the Hiccup’s Wing Gliders roller-coaster, the Dragon Racer’s Rally spinners, the Fyre Drill water ride, and “The Untrainable Dragon” stage show.

Epic Universe opens to the public on May 22, 2025. How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is one of five “Worlds” along with Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Dark Universe, and Super Nintendo World.
