WESH 2 caught video of Dart the dragon, one of Toothless’ kids in the “How to Train Your Dragon” series, practicing her moves backstage at Epic Universe.
Life-Size Dragon in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
The video gives us our first look at what the life-size meet and greet and show dragons of How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk will look like. The figure is able to move all of its legs, walk around, dance, and stretch. Dart is black and white, and she’s referred to as a Night Light being part Night Fury and part Light Fury.
Universal previously announced How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk is set between the second and third “How to Train Your Dragon” films. However, Dart and her siblings aren’t born until the end of the third film, so it’s not clear how Dart fits into the land. She may be part of the stage show “The Untrainable Dragon,” which is based on the show “Untrainable” from Universal Studios Beijing but set in a different time period.
There will also be dragon meet and greets throughout the land, including with Toothless the Night Fury and his rider Hiccup. Dragons will also appear as part of the land’s set dressing.
