- Following the dismantling of the Grand Floridian lobby birdcage, the place where the iconic piece once stood is now a covered hole in the middle of the construction walls.
New Merchandise

- Several new apparel and merchandise items have arrived at Disney Ever After in Disney Springs, including a new plush Donald collection, a Baymax Loungefly ear headband, and more.
- A new Disney Lacers series of Disney Parks-inspired vinyl shoe figures is now available.
- Her Universe released a new line of Disney Princess-inspired athletic dresses at Walt Disney World.
- A series of new short-sleeved striped t-shirts featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Tigger arrived this week.
- Walt Disney World has new “Lilo & Stitch,” Figment, and “Peace” Little Words Project bracelets.
- A sleek new Mickey Mouse purse by Dooney & Bourke is available at Uptown Jewelers in Magic Kingdom and other designer purse locations.
- Also now available at Uptown Jewelers is a new Walt Disney World Pandora jewelry charm.

- The Disneyland 70th Celebration includes a new Key to Disneyland experience. Guests can purchase a large toy key and then use it to “unlock” the park’s magic. At the end of the experience, they get an exclusive mystery trading pin.
Disneyland 70th Anniversary Food Reviews

- For the 70th anniversary of Disneyland, The Golden Horseshoe has wrangled up some Cowboy Fries.
- The Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree has two special items for the 70th anniversary of Disneyland, though neither are BBQ.
- Some of the food offerings for the 70th anniversary of Disneyland include tributes to past offerings, such as the Grilled Tahitian Ribs at Bengal Barbecue.
- One of the items “inspired by the past” is a classic Banana Split from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor.
- Carnation Cafe, a table service restaurant at Disneyland park, is offering three 70th anniversary celebratory menu items, including two alcoholic beverages.
- Galactic Grill is resurrecting the Space Place Cottage Fries.

- Sshhhh! Don’t tell Dr. Doofenshmirtz, but Perry the Platypus disguised as Agent P is having limited time meet and greets at Disney California Adventure this summer.

- The Walt Disney Birthplace partnered with creative agency Uncle Jake Media to redesign their website as a “visually rich and intuitive experience”.

- Epic Games has launched a new conversational AI feature in Fortnite… featuring Darth Vader.
