A 20th anniversary version of PUSH the talking recycle bin is now roaming Hong Kong Disneyland in celebration of its upcoming birthday.
Hong Kong 20th Anniversary PUSH Talking Recycle Bin

The recycle bin is mainly purple with golden swirl detailing, which matches the style of the 20th anniversary decorations scattered throughout Hong Kong Disneyland. Stars and fireworks are also featured on the front and sides, in the main celebration colors of gold, pink, and blue. The front features gold “PUSH” lettering on the main flap.

The festive design continues around each side of PUSH, who also wears a blue and gold birthday hat. While reminiscent of the classic PUSH that used to interact with guests at Walt Disney World, this Hong Kong version is technically a recycling can. The back of the can has two circular holes for recycling.

PUSH excitedly talks as it roams among guests celebrating the Hong Kong Disneyland 20th Anniversary. Check out our video of PUSH below:
This updated version of PUSH and Xiaotui the magical recycle bin at Shanghai Disney Resort are similar to the talking trash can which entertained Magic Kingdom visitors from 1995 to 2014.
Electric Umbrella at EPCOT used to have a talking trash can, but the receptacle didn’t move around the park and only interacted with guests when they threw out their trash. After being briefly retired when Future World was gutted, the talking trash can reappeared at the Odyssey Pavilion in 2022.
Other offerings for the 20th anniversary celebration at Hong Kong Disneyland include the new Friendtastic Parade and “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky,” which is a 20th anniversary version of their nighttime spectacular with some new drone segments.
