With just a few weeks before Halloween Horror Nights 34 begins, Universal Studios Florida is hurrying to finish two major construction projects in the park.
Jaws Bathrooms
After completing the installation of new siding in July, crews are wrapping up the final details of the old Jaws bathroom building at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley. The building is one of the last remaining elements of the former Amity Island area that was replaced by Diagon Alley. It has been closed since February 2025.
New white frames have been added around all the windows and doorways. The fascia boards were painted black to match the siding and roof shingles.
World Expo Bridge
Nearby, the shortcut bridge connecting the Wizarding World and Springfield is being reconstructed. Work began on the bridge a few weeks ago, and it was partially dismantled for the floorboards and railings to be replaced. There are now new floorboards across most of the bridge. Crews are still installing them and cutting them to fit on the Wizarding World side. This side also doesn’t have new railings yet.
The flooring and railing installation appear complete on the opposite end of the bridge. Scaffolding remains up around the center of the bridge, which got new flooring but not new railings.
Columns that were removed from the center of the bridge have yet to be replaced. The lagoon was drained slightly for construction, as you can see by the staining on the stone base of the bridge.
Halloween Horror Nights 34 begins on August 29, 2025.
