Walt Disney Imagineering shared a behind-the-scenes look at programming the new Oogie Boogie animatronic on Haunted Mansion Holiday in Disneyland.

A large green Oogie Boogie Animatronic stands by a spinning wheel for "Oogie’s Holiday Tricks and Treats," with festive lights.

We noticed that Oogie Boogie had been revamped in our coverage of Haunted Mansion Holiday, the seasonal Nightmare Before Christmas overlay of The Haunted Mansion. Guests encounter Oogie Boogie at the end of the attraction, where the Hitchhiking Ghosts would usually be stationed.

As Imagineers describe in the video below, the old animatronic pulsed between two different positions. The new figure has much more animation and smoother movements, making him more realistic.
