Hallo! We recently discovered a new cheesecake themed to Sven from Frozen within Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot!
Sven’s Apple Cheesecake costs $4.49 and is redeemable as a snack credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan.
This cheesecake is pretty oddly shaped, and presented in an unappetizing way. Without the chocolate stem on top, you wouldn’t even be able to tell that this was an apple. The theming to Sven is a cute tie-in to the nearby Frozen Ever After ride. Beyond that, this certainly wouldn’t be my first choice for a baked good in Kringla Kafe based on presentation.
After trying the cheesecake, we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The consistency is almost similar to a verrine, which seems to be the most popular dessert at the Disney Parks at the moment. The center was filled with apple pieces and added a more crunchy, thicker texture to the dessert. Additionally, the crust at the bottom helped tie the whole dessert together and held very well. The taste was delicious; it tasted like an apple cheesecake as expected. It was fresh, cold, and overall delicious.
While at first, I was hesitant based on presentation, taste and execution shined through in the end and made this an extremely delicious dessert! I highly recommend you pair it with a Troll Kreme to create a refreshing Norway Pavilion snack combination for a hot summer day!
We got that dessert a few days ago and the presentation was spot on. Strange that they would serve one so mangled looking. Ours was perfect.
