‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Trailer

The first trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu came out in September 2025, revealing our first looks at Sigourney Weaver as Ward and Jeremy Allen White as Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta, as well as the return of the fan-favorite tiny droidsmith (although we don’t know if he’s specifically Babu Frik).

When it comes out on May 22, 2026, it will be the first Star Wars movie released in theaters since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. The Mandalorian Disney+ series ran for three seasons from 2019 to 2023. A fourth season was in development but it’s not clear if that is still planned or if the film is replacing it.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get a new Mandalorian and Grogu adventure starting on May 22. In the new story, guests will fly from Batuu to Tatooine, and then have the opportunity to choose their next destination from Coruscant, Bespin, and Endor. Guests in the engineer position will make the decision and get to interact with Grogu.

The Mandalorian & Grogu also includes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it reference to the Halcyon, also known as the Galactic Starcruiser, the now-defunct interactive Star Wars hotel at Walt Disney World.
