With the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge just a few months away, we decided to share some updated photos of the construction. It is really starting to take shape and is visible from many locations in the park.
The first spot is Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. This has long been the place to get an idea of the progress that is being made.
Scaffolding is down from most of the spires.
The large building is the show building for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Taking a ride on the Mark Twain Riverboat gives a different view. Most of the land will be out of sight, but some spires and rock work will be visible behind the trees while floating down the Rivers of America.
By far the best vantage point is from Hungry Bear Restaurant. From here, you really get a good idea of the scope of this land. You can see the buildings that will make up the market place shops and food stalls.
In the distance, you can see the tail of a spaceship peeking through.
The rock work for the spires does a great job of blending in to the existing rock work. You can tell that it is part of a different land, although I was worried that this new land would be really obvious.
The opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be here before we know it. What are you most excited for?
