BREAKING: Height Requirement Revealed for Rise of the Resistance, Ride Features “A Swift Drop” for Guests in Star Wars – Galaxy’s Edge

Due to the ride reportedly ending with a “swift drop”, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will have a minimum height requirement when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens later this year at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The information comes to us from the ride’s warning sign which will be located outside of the entrance. It reads:

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Join us on an exhilarating mission to stop The First Order! This mission includes rapid motion, sudden stops, sharp turns, and a swift drop as you evade capture from The First Order.

Despite being in a trackless ride vehicle, guests will experience a drop towards the end of the attraction. The drop will reportedly simulate an escape pod blasting off, taking guests in their transports swiftly back down to the planet Batuu. We’re not talking about a drop the height of the Tower of Terror here, but at least most of the height of the fairly large show building that houses this ride.

The sign goes on to indicate the minimum height requirement for Rise of the Resistance: 40 inches. For the record, other trackless Disney attractions such as Mystic Manor and Ratatouille do not have this restriction as they do not feature such drops.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens Summer 2019 at the Disneyland Resort and Fall 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
