More Details on the Planet Batuu, Oga’s Cantina, and Millennium Falcon Ride Revealed in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Novel

Yesterday, we shared the announcement of new books, comics, and fables to come surrounding the planet Batuu and the village of Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. One of the books already released was Star Wars: Pirate’s Price by Lou Anders. (Click here for an excerpt!) It follows Han Solo and Chewbacca and their adventures in the Millennium Falcon––along with the pirate Hondo Ohnaka. In it, even more details on the planet Batuu have been revealed.

In the novel, the space scoundrels visit Oga’s Cantina, which will also of course be the new watering hole at Galaxy’s Edge. Here, scenes are described just as they will appear to guests in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You’ll be able to sample Galaxy’s Edge Ale as poured from a tap made of old, worn-out technology and parts like droid arms and even an antique lightsaber hilt. Other drinks, like the Fuzzy Tauntaun and the Carbon Freeze are also mentioned in the novel:

Other foods mentioned in the novel include Sarlacc Juice, Blue Bantha Buttermilk Biscuits, Blue Bespin Breakfast Bars, Blue Puff Cubes, Bantha Butter Pancakes, and Glowblue Noodles.

DJ Rex is briefly mentioned, while we learn that Ohnaka runs a company called Ohnaka Transport Solutions, a front for a smuggling operation. We can’t confirm that the company will actually appear in Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, but it does seem likely that it will play into the attraction.

We can’t wait to enjoy all the intergalactic amazingness that will be Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Want even more Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Find out how Batuu is taking shape in this latest video.
