The Caribbean Beach Resort Skyliner station is rapidly wrapping up construction work. Last we saw, much of the decorative tower at the station was still under scaffolding, however things have progressed and the station is looking fantastic!
Decorative elements have started going into place around the main building. Near the gondola’s approach into the station, there’s a beige and green lattice structure above the frame.
While construction is still heavy, there are gondolas all over the station, both stationary and in motion.
Some more decorative elements on the back end of the station. As of now, the station is mostly open-air, with few walls up around the perimeter.
This will be the main storage area for gondolas that aren’t in use. It’s pretty mesmerizing to see that many gondolas in one place.
Here’s a better look at the tallest tower that was previously surrounded by scaffolding.
A large decorative lighting fixture has also been installed in the station.
The station certainly appears to be nearing completion.
We’ve also been seeing ongoing construction in this area at the resort to clear a path for gondolas to move about without trees getting in the way. The fences have since cleared and work is wrapping up.
The fences surrounding the Skyliner poles have also been removed to reveal some plants and small trees surrounding the poles. They really don’t do a great job of hiding the poles.
That’s all for this Skyliner update! The Disney Skyliner is expected to open in Fall of this year. Construction is still very much underway, however it seems that the Caribbean Beach Resort station is nearing completion.
Stay tuned to WDWNT.com for the latest updates on the Skyliner as it wraps up construction!
I really thought they’d paint the towers.
