Earlier this month we tried the chili-mango loaded whip, which we enjoyed, but couldn’t find the mango flavor in. You can now simplify your order and get a mango/pineapple whip.
Mango Pineapple Dole Whip – $5.69
We already had raspberry and orange flavor options along with traditional pineapple upon opening of the Tropical Hideaway, but now we have mango to choose from as well. The color swirl difference isn’t as pronounced as with the raspberry and orange, but don’t let that deter you from trying this. The mango pairs well with the pineapple for a light, fruity snack on a hot day.
As with most our whip purchases the middle remains hollow… but we are willing to overlook this due to the consistency in flavor. Would we say this is overwhelming mango? No, but neither is the raspberry option. What is important is that the flavors compliment each other, which the pineapple and mango do.
So if you want to switch things up, swing by one of our favorite spots in the park and try the new mango flavor.
The dole whip is hollow because it’s sold by weight. When it’s not hollow the swirl is very short and guests complain.
