Good afternoon from Magic Kingdom! We decided to take a last-minute visit today to the park. Let’s see what’s going on…
Here on Main Street we ran into Gideon, one of the Pinocchio villains. He is part of the random assortment of wandering characters on Main Street. Each day of the week is a different character duo. You can read more about this experience here.
Let’s stop over at Storybook Circus. It was a very hot day, and it’s always fun to check out the splash pad area as it is super well-themed to the area.
Surprisingly, the splash pad area was not crowded, despite the heat.
Let’s check in on the TRON construction site, which is between Storybook Circus and Space Mountain!
As you can not much has changed since our last visit .
Having the dirt mounds all flattened out has helped us to get a much better look at the progress being made.
As you can see here, the cement wall around the perimeter of the job site  is now complete.
The photos above were taken from the Barnstormer queue. We can see the back-half of the building is still being worked on. The building exterior is almost done, it would seem. This means it’s time to start building walls around the coaster so inside work can begin.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride. One of the shortest rides in duration, with one the longest wait times. While the ride is fun and visually satisfying, the standby wait time is just not justified. This one is a FastPass+ selection for us.
Let’s stop into Momento Mori. This is always a must-do for us when we visit Magic Kingdom. The store is probably one of the best-themed merchandise locations in the park. Anybody else remember when this place was the Yankee Trader?
Here is the current selection of collectible figurines at Momento Mori. All of these pieces are so well done and reasonably priced, they range from $70-$130, which is not bad considering the detail and craftsmanship that went into making them!
Over at the Frontierland Trading Post, cast members were busy setting up the merchandise for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. As you can see, everything is still available, except for the limited edition Hocus Pocus Magic Band!
Before heading out, we picked up this rather large gem from the castle hub popcorn cart. This is the infamous Jack Skellington sipper cup that first debuted at Disneyland in California. He is an exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! You can read all about him here!
Thanks again for reading! Stay tuned for the next photo report from WDWNT!
Oh la la….
So they’re still doing the flagpole meets eh?
Dependeing on when you walked by the splash zone you either caught it just before it was shutdown and sanitized due to the fact some family thought it would be a good idea to let their kids run around the area naked and urinate on the props or just after it was restarted post sanitation.
