Guests at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort may soon be able to enjoy an exotic drink at Tambu Lounge.
One of our reporters spotted the lounge as it was undergoing preparations to reopen soon.
Located near the entrance to ‘Ohana, the lounge typically serves appetizers, beer, wine, and specialty cocktails.
The lounge is currently roped off to guests, with tables and chairs spaced to promote social distancing.
The cast members we spoke to said that the lounge is aiming to reopen sometime next week. One date that was mentioned for a possible reopening was Sunday, August 16th, but that isn’t officially confirmed.
Hopefully, we’ll be saying “Aloha!” to some good times at Tambu Lounge very soon!

Menu is extremely limited, california roll, flatbread, wings, or ribs. They need to open Ohana ASAP even if its only for mobile order. OKW is allowing you to order out from Olivia’s cafe. I just wish all resort restaurants will start doing take out. It makes sense since capacity will be down. Were schedule to go to the poly in october and boardwalk in january and I wish most restaurants would start doing to-go. Itll help boost profits of the limited capacity. Even if it was just for resort guests. I was really hoping to get the twilight feast from Ohana in Oct. but I dont think it’s going to happen. I would prefer Ohana if they operated like Liberty Tree anyway. No more waiting on skewers you want.
