Work continues on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser immersive hotel. Our friend and aerial photographer @bioreconstruct shared photos on Twitter that give us an X-wing fighter’s view of the construction site. The upcoming hotel is being constructed just outside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This photo provides an overview of the construction site. Guests will arrive at the porte cochère (right), then be “transported” to the Galactic Starcruiser. The middle section is the show building and lobby.
Once in the show building, guests will be immersed in the Star Wars universe.
Guest cabins are in the left-most section of the building. What appear to be guest room windows are likely for emergency egress. The cabins will use displays as virtual windows to the galaxy beyond.
A detached building will provide additional services to the resort.
Bioreconstruct has added an arrow at what appears to be new trees being planted. The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser structure will be hidden by lush vegetation.
The road at center was was previously the guest parking entrance for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The road is now used as a Cast Member entrance.
A berm is being constructed at the rear of the upcoming Galactic Starcruiser.
This area is the shuttle launch bay. Shuttles will take guests from Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser directly to Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Concept art shows that the shuttles will block the guests’ view of the outside world.
Disney recently released behind-the-scenes construction photos as well as a look at the guest cabins. Are you looking forward to a stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser? Use the comments to tell us how you are saving credits for the trip.
