One of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s many quirks is its soda-themed droid carts. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios has only ever had the regular Coca-Cola carts, featuring a red R5 droid. Meanwhile, Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge has had the additional Diet Coke and Sprite carts. Now, it seems a Diet Coke cart and droid have made their way across the galaxy to its eastern edge at Walt Disney World.
We witnessed the red and white Diet Coke cart rolling through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today. It’s unknown if this was transported over from the still-shuttered Disneyland Park, or whether Disney’s Hollywood Studios was meant to get their own Diet Coke carts all along, and these have simply arrived late.
The R2 unit on this cart is named J5-KC (while the Coca-Cola droids and Sprite droid are all J1 through J4).
Like the Sprite cart, J5-KC’s cart is only used for cargo transport and does not sell the thermal detonator-style Coca-Cola products.
Are you excited to see more Coca-Cola droids at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Let us know in the comments.
Of course, we have the most important question: Does it have ice?
