A mysterious scrim-covered pole has appeared in a corner of Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom.
The pole is beneath a section of Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover track between the Tomorrowland Terrace and the Purple Wall.
It’s possible this pole has been installed as further support for the ceiling, or that it is hiding wires leading up to the PeopleMover.
The PeopleMover has been closed for well over a year, unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic. Refurbishment of the attraction continues to be pushed forward. It is currently set to open on May 1, but this remains to be seen.
Keep checking WDWNT for updates.

We wouldn’t go to Disney World if the PeopleMover was closed. Really.
Hopefully it will be up and running when we are visiting in mid May. One of our favorite attractions.
