Hello, World Travelers, and welcome to an exciting day at EPCOT! We started out our day checking on construction projects as usual, and we have some fun things to show you, so let’s get started!
When we entered the park, we saw that the front of Spaceship Earth had been almost completely covered in Points of Light.
With lights as far down as the top of the legs this view is rapidly becoming the most well filled-out.
Nearby, we could see that the installation of the large glass panels at the future locations of Creations Shop and Club Cool had reached the corner nearest Spaceship Earth.
Out on World Showcase Lagoon, we saw testing going on on the Harmonious barges. The ring barge had a smaller water cannon testing at one point around midday. The screen barge nearest the Mexico Pavilion was testing its screen for a good portion of the morning.
In the Morocco Pavilion, we found pavement work underway near the entrance to the rear of the Pavilion just past the fountain. Part of the archway was closed to guests.
In the Italy Pavilion, we found the Gelato Stand closed, and we’re told that its final day was yesterday.
Thankfully the loss of the Gelato booth shouldn’t be felt too keenly, as the construction walls were removed last night from around Gelateria Toscana, and it opened today at 12:30pm!
At the Mexico Pavilion on Gran Fiesta Tour, the ribbon hat dancer was still missing from the party scene.
The Three Caballeros animatronics were also still missing from the final scene of the attraction.
As the Princess Promenade circled World Showcase, we saw that Mulan had replaced Jasmine aboard the carriage. For more pictures and information, including a video of the cavalcade, check out our article here.
We headed to Gelateria Toscana for it’s grand opening, and ordered a few things to try. We definitely approve of all the delicious offerings at this new quick service location! For more pictures and information, including our full review, check out our article here.
We found two new women’s tops in the Mexico Pavilion featuring a design reminiscent of the Pavilion’s pyramid in a Mickey head shape. The shirt retails for $36.99, and the tank retails for $29.99.
At Mouse Gear, we found a new collection of youth Princess costume jewelry sets, which retail for $19.99 each.
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT today, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
