After the fire that broke out at Universal Studios Hollywood late last night, a representative for the theme park has said they are open as scheduled today.
Spokeswoman Audrey Eig told the LA Times that the fire occurred in a backstage area where guests do not have access, and “no rides or attractions were affected.”
The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the fire began around 11:40pm PT, when a cargo box ingnited. Five fire engines responded promptly and extinguished the flames.
