BREAKING: Fireworks Returning to Walt Disney World July 1st

Fireworks are finally returning to Walt Disney World on July 1st.

At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, July 1 marks the start of nightly fireworks performances at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. “Happily Ever After” will transform Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics, as moments from favorite Disney stories encourage you to grab hold of your dreams and make them come true.

Happily Ever After hasn’t been performed since March 15th, 2020, the day before all Walt Disney World parks closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of the ongoing transformation of EPCOT, “EPCOT Forever” will produce a spectacle of fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, highlighting the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination and celebration at the core of the park’s past, present and future.

EPCOT Forever is set to be replaced by “Harmonious”, a new nighttime spectacular which was originally slated to debut in 2020. The show is now expected to premiere as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary later this year.

  1. Yeah Bob. Thrilled for fireworks.. Now work on that parade, fast pass and character meet and huggggg. See ya in Oct.

  2. This is great news. My question concerns EPCOT Forever. I’ve heard that the popular kites will not be coming back, which is a section of the performance where there are no fireworks. Will they be revising the show or leave a dead spot in the show?
