Greetings from another amazing summer day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’re getting closer to Halloween Horror Nights and there’s a lot happening around the parks, so let’s get going and check out what’s new today.
Our first stop of the day was Universal Studios Florida where we found a lot of new props set up for a Scarezone in New York.
We almost missed the banners hanging from the surrounding buildings. “The Controller Sees All” and “Submit to the Controller” banners give us a little hint at what kind of Scarezone we can expect to see here. We can’t wait for Halloween Horror Nights!
We haven’t gotten any new announcements of houses recently, but a new shirt was put out at the 5 & 10 today. This fitted tee features new artwork for The Bride of Frankenstein Lives. You can see the other version of the shirt in our post here.
There’s some spooky looking speakers in the Scarezone area near Central Park.
Since it’s a hot day, we decided to stop and pick up a Frozen Jack and Coke. Check out our full review here.
The window enhancements in Hollywood are finished. There are lots of interesting items on display.
The City Tones are back performing. You can catch them near the Blues Brothers stage.
There’s more new Team USA Olympics merchandise avaialble at the cart across from the NBC Sports Grill and Brew. The youth size Hello Kitty hoodie is $40 and the youth size Team USA Hello Kitty shirt is $25. The Team USA hoodie is $60 and the hat is $27.
As we made our way over to Islands of Adventure, it started raining. Actually, it started pouring. Many spots around the park flooded, but lots of people were splashing around in large puddles having fun.
People tried to escape the rain in many unique ways, such as huddling under the green eggs in Seuss Landing or the raptor statues near VelociCoaster.
The rain just kept coming the rest of the day. Make sure to prepare yourself for rainy afternoons if you’re visiting in the summer!
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for following along today and be sure to keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates!
The scarezone props feel so vampire in nature. Like a modern vampire dystopia. Industrial containers of blood. Talks of a controller probably a reference to powers of mind control that vampires have and lots of stages for dancers, seems to be a possibility for explore vampire’s seductive nature. All i can say is im excited
