Star Wars Launch Bay will reopen on July 17 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, having been mostly closed for over two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When Launch Bay returns, guests will once again be able to meet Chewbacca, BB-8, and Darth Vader up close. Chewbacca has continued to make appearances across the park in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during the closure.

In 2020, Star Wars Launch Bay was used as a Relaxation Station. It later reopened as a walkthrough exhibit but has mostly remained closed.
