Unsurprisingly, the extensive refurbishment of Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. has been extended through Saturday, December 10 in the Magic Kingdom.
The shop, located at the exit of Space Mountain, has been closed since the start of August, but is currently scheduled to reopen to guests on December 11. Even before the closure, work was underway to match the store’s look to the new aesthetic of Tomorrowland, as well as prepare it to also serve as the shop for TRON Lightcycle / Run when it opens next spring.
Given how much has been done since the closure, and how much seems left to be done, it’s unclear if the refurbishment will be extended even longer before the scheduled reopening, or if the shop can operate while work continues outside. Still, unless things speed up significantly in the coming weeks, it seems unlikely that the job will be completely finished in the next month.
