Aloha from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! A new mug, and a salt and pepper shaker set featuring the Polynesian demigod and official tiki mascot of the resort, Maui, have arrived. We spotted these and a new coconut-shaped cup at BouTiki, the main gift shop located in the Great Ceremonial House at The Polynesian Village Resort.
Tiki Maui Mug – $36.99
Maui stands in his classic pose, hands up and ready to reign down mischief upon all who dare drink from his vessel.
The mug is large with lots of intricate detail on the surface painting. It’s made to look like weathered wood but is ceramic.
Maui stands on a base with carved triangles.
The back of the mug has the “Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort” logo underneath the opening.
The interior of the mug is a bright ocean blue.
Maui has been an icon of the resort since it opened in 1971. The Maui from the movie “Moana” and this Maui are both named after the same mischievous deity in Polynesian legends.
Maui Salt & Pepper Shakers Set – $29.99
This set includes two Maui figures similar to the mug.
One has his arms raised and has one opening on the top of his head.
The other has three openings, and his arms are lowered.
While the shakers are mostly brown, the bottoms are light blue, with silicone stoppers.
The base is carved with leaves and a few blue flowers. “Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort” is on the front.
There are openings in the top for the shakers to sit on.
Coconut Cup – $29.99
This round coconut-shaped cup has an ocean blue stripe around its center, featuring the resort’s logo.
White flowers and green leaves are on the lid, next to a small opening for a straw.
More New Tiki Maui Merchandise
Over the past few months, as 50th anniversary merchandise leaves the resort, more classic merchandise has been trickling into Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, much of it featuring Tiki Maui. We recently spotted this Polynesian Village Resort pin with Mickey, Minnie, and Maui.
Other new merchandise includes Maui Loungefly ears and a mini backpack.
