Peppermint Sundae: Chocolate Ice Cream, Whipped Cream and Peppermint Candy – $6.25

Made with standard chocolate soft serve, this isn’t the peppermint ice cream the name might lead you to believe. The peppermint flakes do add enough holiday flavor amongst the chocolate and whipped cream, but overall, this is a rather conventional sundae.

Hot Cocoa by Joffrey’s Coffee (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.00

Hot Cocoa by Joffrey’s Coffee (Non-Alcoholic) – $4.00

This is your standard Disney hot cocoa, similar to what you’d get at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Good for a chilly night, but there are far more interesting options in the festival food and beverage lineup.

Breckenridge Brewery Christmas Ale, Breckenridge, CO (7.1% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Breckenridge Brewery: “The chill of winter calls for a beer with extra flavor and strength! An abundance of carefully roasted malts create notes of caramel and chocolate, while Chinook and Mt. Hood hops contribute a spicy quality for balance and a clean finish.”

*NEW* Brew Hub Sugar Plum Red Ale, Lakeland, FL (% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From correspondence with Brew Hub, this is an “Imperial Red Ale brewed with Two-row, Caramel and Munich malts, with Magnum & Willamette hops conditioned on sugar plums.”

*NEW* Left Hand Brewing Co. Chai Milk Stout, Longmont, CO (5.0% ABV) – $5.75 for 6 oz., $9.75 for 12 oz.

From Left Hand Brewing Co.: “Our brewers’ blend of aromatic spices richly complements our classic Milk Stout,” adding in their notes for the Nitro version that it’s “a captivating brew that harmoniously blends our rich, velvety classic Milk Stout with the exotic allure of aromatic Chai Tea. Warm cinnamon, bold cardamom, and a hint of zesty ginger provide a symphony of aromas… These spices, intricately woven with soft roastiness & mocha undertones, orchestrate a delightful sensory journey like no other. Subtle notes of vanilla, clove, and nutmeg provide a gentle warmth that lingers long after the glass is empty.”

Hot Cocoa with Assorted Liqueurs (Baileys Irish Cream [$29/bottle], Buffalo Trace Bourbon Cream [$23/bottle] or Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey [$27/bottle]) – $12.50

All three of these alcoholic hot chocolates are delicious. The hot chocolate is thick and not watery, and has a good amount of alcohol in each cup. However, you could easily replicate these at home for probably a cheaper price.

These peppermint shakes are good, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The non-alcoholic option of this beverage comes in the larger cup and with a striped paper straw. The caffeine-free tea that is added gives it somewhat of a minty aftertaste, but it blends well with the rest of the drink. The whipped cream vodka really elevates it from a standard hot chocolate that you can get around the park.
