*NEW* Spanish Charcuterie: Jamón, Manchego and Pan Con Tomate – $6.50

A square white plate holds sliced cheese, cured ham, and a piece of bread topped with tomato spread. This delightful Food & Wine arrangement is set against a backdrop of gravel and miniature railway tracks.

The Jamón takes a bit of work to cut. The bread is nice and crunchy, and of course, you can’t go wrong with melty manchego. All around, this charcuterie is very good and everything is how you want it to be. For the price, we think it’s a killer deal. The portion was enough for our entire group to get more than a bite or two.

*NEW* Paella Negra: Squid Ink Rice with Shrimp, Bay Scallops and Octopus served with Garlic Aïoli – $8.00

A white bowl contains grilled shrimp, scallops, and squid ink risotto topped with a dollop of aioli and chopped chives. To the left, you'll spot a portion of cured meat—a perfect pairing for any Food & Wine enthusiast.

We started with the shrimp in the paella because it’s the least adventurous. The octopus is a little chewy, and the shrimp is sadly not great. Both are a bit dry for our tastes. Our rice was also not cooked well. The dish is also quite fragrant, and not in a good way.

Quinta del ’67 Almansa Garnacha Tintorera, Alicante ($15/bottle) – $7.50

Bodegas Volver describes this wine as “deep red. Complex in nose with aromas of ripe dark berries, spicy, and some balsamic aromas. On the palate with a lot of structure, silky tannin and again lots of fruit, chocolate, licorice. Long and persistent finish. Very powerful and with a long life ahead.”
