Epcot’s upcoming Space Restaurant has already begun the hiring process, however it is still heavily under construction. Last year, we brought you a first look at the details currently known about the restaurant. This week, we noticed some new framework up, as well as some general construction progress around the site.
There’s now a crane visible from the front of Mission: Space which is helping lift the framework currently being put into place.
The new framework is circular shaped, as the projection area will be curved.
Here is a look at the concept art featuring the curved wall on the right side that the framework is being laid for.
There’s also a new straight line of framing which will connect to the check-in, lobby, and elevator areas.
The exposed, unfinished area that was already here remains mostly untouched.
The restaurant’s official opening date hasn’t been set yet, but it appears as though work is coming along well. We’re so excited to step into this incredibly detailed-looking experience!
The concept art looks great. Too bad the servers’ uniforms are not better themed.
