Big Thunder Mountain Still Getting New Finale, Refurbishment Rescheduled for Fall 2016

Don’t worry, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom is still getting that exciting new ending scene filled with projection mapping, we just have to wait a little longer to get it.

The refurbishment to change the scene was rescheduled this week, now taking place from August 8th through November 18th, 2016. The refurbishment was originally set to take place from April through July, but was moved due to heavy crowds expected during the early summer months this year.

  1. Sadness! I am going to be heading home on November 18, so I’ll just barely miss the reopening. I love BTMR; it was the first roller coaster I ever enjoyed. :)

  2. Is it going to be different than in disneyland or going to be a same as in disneyland? Maybe it can add a blasting area sign outside of a lift hill too.
