The latest ad for Pandora: The World of AVATAR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom gives us our first really good look at the landscape of the area, showing guests walking under the mountain, and a sweeping shot of the mountain range and area below towards the end. Take a look:

Here are some stills of interest from the video:

Above is some of the woven art of the Navi, which Disney had created by real artisans (from this world).

The shot at the end gives a sweeping look of the finished exterior product inside of the land.

Pandora: The World of AVATAR opens at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 27th, 2017.

Sorry doesn’t excite me at all, like many earlier attractions did.

That’s cuz now Disney does new lands with ONLY profit in mind. Hopefully this will change in time, but this area built to support a bunch of new Avatar films coming out at rapid fire soon. Rides are secondary to the eateries and trinkets for people to buy.

Ugh those people are soooo lucky! Did they win a contest or something? I wonder if they got to ride any of the rides or just got to walk through. Either way that is so freakin awesome. Anyone know where to find any pics they took online?

Nah, just your standard minority family that permeates all Disney marketing materials for the last few years. They know they already have white people hooked.

I am convinced DP just sits at his computer all day, stroking his creepy mustache, refreshing WDWNT repeatedly, waiting for a new article to dump on. And when a new one hits? Christmas morning, baby!

I have a question. . . I thought the floating mountains were going to “float.” Was I wrong in assuming this? Will the mountains have some minimal movement to them?

They aren’t walking underneath the mountains. The people appears to be filmed in front of a green screen with CGI imposed in the background. The entire commercial appears to be CGI.

They are really staying true to the original movie, then!

That would fit the new ride there too. Just CGI motion simulator. Disney doesn’t spend money like they used to, and defiantly nothing on guest experience, forget a full attraction coming. They ‘re more interested that you’re buying trinkets.
