Guests at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (or at least what is left of it at this point) can now find a small advertisement for the Disney Skyliner gondola system in their room.
The advert apologizes for the construction related to the new transportation system (nevermind the massive overhaul of Old Port Royal and all of of the other construction around the resort) and gives guests information about what exactly the Skyliner will be.
When completed, the system will connect Disney’s Caribbean Resort to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the new Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
How bad a state is Carribean beach in, arriving there in 43 days, Disney assured us we would hardly notice the works.
Hahahaha, I’ll share some photos later this week. It’s a war zone.
you won’t notice.
Not bad. Was just there and still had a great time!
We just returned from our stay at Carribean resort 2 weeks ago. Since we haven’t been there in years we didn’t quite know what to expect. Yes, Port Royale is all under construction but we were able to walk to their pool since we were in the Jamaican section, a 5 minute walk over a bridge.
Any chance these might be operating by next February? That’s when we will be there. I look forward to seeing your photos. Trying to figure out just how bad the construction may be at that point.
No way. 2019 at the earliest.
Don’t just have to biuld towers and then put a string connecting them all, only disney can find a way to stretch construction as long as possible
I think the gondola system is a great idea! Sucks about all of the construction though (for people that will be directly affected on their vacation)
They are putting them in Pop Century rooms also.
The gondolas are IN the rooms? That seems like such an invasion of privacy, I don’t want gondolas going by the bed while I’m trying to sleep.
Just stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort last week (7/24-7/28/2017). Yes, definitely noticed construction but did not put a damper on my vacation. Can’t wait to see the finished product.
