Legendary Walt Disney World entertainer Christopher George Weaver has passed away according to cast members who worked with him. Weaver was best known for portraying the Mayor of Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom.
In addition to appearing around Main Street U.S.A., Weaver also hosted many of the old Magic Kingdom Welcome Shows at the Railroad Station when it existed.

Dear Tom,
Good of you to post about Chris Weaver’s passing. He was aces to work with, and by the way, went by ‘Chris’.
Thanks again, Anne C. Smith
George was his middle name. Christopher was his first name, but he went by Chris. Or Mr. Mayor of course.
Thanks for such kind words about my grandfather
He was AWESOME!!!!
Does anyone know if there will be another Mayor? or if there already is? We were there in Feb. and did not notice.
