Mayor of Main Street at Magic Kingdom, Christopher George Weaver, Has Passed Away

Legendary Walt Disney World entertainer Christopher George Weaver has passed away according to cast members who worked with him. Weaver was best known for portraying the Mayor of Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom.

In addition to appearing around Main Street U.S.A., Weaver also hosted many of the old Magic Kingdom Welcome Shows at the Railroad Station when it existed.

We would like to thank Christopher for his many years of bringing joy to guests from around the world and our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Tom, thanks for this info, I’m so sad to here this, the rope drops after he was left out, or not present were always different without him.
My wife & I have met George numerous times…very sad.

We will truly miss this sweet man!! He had many interactions over the years with my family at Disney! Some of our favorite!

I have seen him quite a few times. He represented WDW very well. Will be very tough to replace. Condolences to his family!!

George was his middle name. Christopher was his first name, but he went by Chris. Or Mr. Mayor of course.

Does anyone know if there will be another Mayor? or if there already is? We were there in Feb. and did not notice.
