BREAKING: Opening Date Announced for Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This morning on Good Morning America, it was announced that Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open on June 30th, 2018.

This new 11-acre land will transport guests into the adventurous outdoors of Andy’s backyard where guests will feel like they have been shrunk to the size of Woody and Buzz, as they are surrounded by oversized toys. Using toys like building blocks, plastic buckets and shovels, and game board pieces, Andy has designed the perfect setting for this land that includes two major new attractions.

Slinky Dog Dash is a family-friendly coaster that will send riders dipping, dodging and dashing around turns and drops through the world of Andy’s toys. Guests can also spin around with little green aliens aboard Alien Swirling Saucers and quick refreshments will be on tap at Woody’s Lunch Box.

Any word about Passholder preview days yet? I never get emails for those!

Instead of having a flashy announcement on Good Morning America, why don’t you have three shifts for construction and build it faster. I think everyone planned on it to be done by Memorial Day. Why does Disney construction take so long?

Noooo. I was hoping it would be open when we went down at the end of may. At least we get Galactic Nights when we’re down.

Uh probably 60 days like with literally every other attraction at Walt Disney world. Why would this be different?

Waiting to see the new Tier system for Hollywood

Tier 1:

Slinky Dog
Toy Story Mania
Rock N Roller

That’s my guess. Wondering if Alien Saucers will have FP at all.

Yeah I for sure think Slinky Dog will be Tier 1.
Think Alien might be Tier 1 since it’s new, but drop to Tier 2 when Star Wars Land debuts.
Midway Mania might drop to Tier 2.

I’ll be curious if they move the “we aren’t really tier ones but you need options” to Tier 2 like Fantasmic.
